Discussion:
Code 236

Keep getting Code 236 "Input Mismatch" on electric TMX20 with Zapi controllers.
Any thoughts??
Have changed out controllers only to have code reappear.
Anybody have issues like this before??

Message for Tom_p I didn't receive your email with the info regarding the controller mismatch fault resulting in the truck (when steering) acting as if the differential has jammed. thanks again in anticipation. Sandy.

check your email for some more info.
You can use the Zapi to confirm all your switches are closing in the tests menu. Using the old Zapi hand set is clunky but does work.
That said, recently the same symptoms and fault code you describe were found to be corroded and broken seat enable wiring under the battery.

Hi Tom P
Can you still provide the fault finding info for the Clark TMX 15 with Zapi Dual AC controllers This is a 4 wheel forklift with two drive motors.
Hi Tom_p
Didn't get your the email about the info to try and resolve our mismatch controller fault. When trying to steer the truck it acts as if it has differential lock. Thanks in anticipation. Sandy

236 fault is a Input mismatch between slave and master controller.
Check, directional, brake , seat, accelerator switch and wiring. Had same fault and the problem was enable wiring corroded under under battery.

The new ZAPI controller fixed "my" 236 problem.
Operators are running the batteries down REALLY LOW constantly !!
The cables that run to the motors from the boxes are all overheated, crispy, and terminals on ZAPI boxes are melted... high amperage ?? I'm assuming.

Nope!!!
Talked to a guy at Clark factory.... he says its gotta be controller... So tomorrow she gets a brand new controller - not another freaking Flight Systems rebuild!!
It's an expensive roll of the dice !!
