Discussion:
Close service panel??

Hi!

One of my wave can't start up. When we start it up its beeping saying « close service panel ». Sometimes this happened when a user that unplugged it forgot to close the panel but now the panel is really closed and the wave behaves like it was open. What's wrong??

Also, sometimes when we use the wave it suddenly stop with the "close service panel" error but the panel is closed... whats wrong and what to check for this?

Thanks!

Yes I would remove the 2 bolt on the bottom of the service panel that it pivots around, then you can remove the whole panel and see behind it

Whats the best way to reach the sensor behind the panel? Just removing the side bolt or there is some other way?

That really just makes me think it's the prox sensor even more. When they go bad they will work intermittently and not just die for good. My only other thought would be a loose wire as it would have similar symptoms.

Alright thanks will check this out

No problem for the replies... I bumped because it was kind of "fixed" since last time but started again today. The only way to fix it now is to jam the service panel door very hard 2-3 times it its good lol I don't know if this van help for diagnosis loll

Behind the top left of the service panel is a proximity sensor. This senses the presence of the panel using a magnetic field. It sounds like that sensor is going bad or there is an issue with one of the wires.
I would start by testing the prox sensor first as this is the most likely issue. If i remember correct if there is nothing in front of the sensor it should be 0.1ohms, once something magnetic comes in front of it, it should read OL. I may have that backwards but you should see a change when testing. I use a screw driver to test it personally as it doesn't take a large piece of metal to trigger.
PN: 062874 if you need a new one.

Thanks for bumping I'm not sure how I missed this post!
