Thanks for you reply.
Yep, Rodolfo S. called me in 1986 when I went to work for Mitsubishi in Houston, TX & explained that AC shutdown the lift truck operation in SLP & the government of Mexico lifted the import duties on lift trucks & he had 10 dealers that needed a lift truck line. We made an agreement - I was UDIMACs primary contact - we grew the business from zero Mitsubishi in Mexico to more than 600 units per year in 5 years. Visited Mexico often, always enjoyed my visits, the cervesas, no sleep at night & a stay at Vista Hermosa.
If you have an email address for Rodolfo please provide in this format xxxxxxxxxx at yyyyyy dot zzz.

I know Rodolfo Slobotsky because I worked with an allis chalmers dealer from 1977 to 1982. A.C forklifts was made as you said in San Luis Potosi. After that, UDIMAC brougth to MEXICO the Mitsubishi forklift brand. After that Mr.Slobotsky began with the intrupa spares in Mexico till intupa was acquired for smh. Now he is in a new spareparts bussines.
raul,
I have been to San Luis Potosi. My last time (~1990) was when I worked for Mitsubishi in Houston and I worked closely with Sr. Rodolfo Slobostky when he was with UDIMAC - do you know him? I knew Rodolfo from my Allis Chalmers days. Allis Chalmers used to build lift trucks in S.L.P then Gleaner combines.
That's right John, your mitsubishi engines 4G54, 4G64, both mus be made for clark forklift, otherwise you will have many problems.
You also need to understand the Mitsusbishi engine Clark used was not made in Japan. It was made in Korea under a licensing agreement. Just a couple key differences is the Clark version had dynamic (Lancaster type) balancers for the crank shaft & the front crank pulley was different as the Mitsubishi fork lifts drove the hydraulic pump off the crank.
if you new motor is a 4G64, yes, there is possible, but you need to do many many changes, unfourtunately the technical bulletins for do that i have not.
if the new motor is a 4G63, not, that can't do it
sorry.
