first off starting a new thread for your problem instead of hijacking this thread would be more appropriate and less confusing for those that were following this threads original subject.

secondly you seem to be going at this all wrong
the code E27 is most commonly caused by old worn spark plugs where the electrodes have burned away and the gap has widened so far that the ECM cannot compensate for the difference in spark timing so it sets the POS sensor code because it is changing the cam angle sensor reading so far it cannot compensate any farther so it starts operating out of range expected.
Try changing the spark plugs.
Also a coil pack may be misfiring so check the harness plugs and wiring there and make sure there is not a broken wire to any of the coil packs or that there is no coil pack failing.
I think you will find the spark plugs may fix this though.

The code E23 is for the 'throttle' sensor not the pedal sensor. There is no adjustment for the throttle sensor, it is self calibrating when the ignition is cycled on and off and on again.
If you keep getting this code then there is a problem with the sensor assy inside the throttle assembly or there may be a broken wire at the harness where it plugs into the throttle body.
Broken wires were very common with these so that may be the case, on rare occasions i have found the throttle body gear set inside it were not lubed enough during assembly and it would hang up, (not returning to rest position completely), this can make it set a code when self calibration occurs. Sometimes cleaning it out and relube fixes it but in most cases i wound up replacing the throttle body in the long run.
If you have been fiddling with the pedal position sensor you need to use a volt meter or have a laptop connected so you can get it set to the correct voltage it expects to see when the pedal is fully released. You also want to check the pedal position stop bolt and linkage set pin make sure it is not broken or out of adjustment.
In some cases the pin that holds the linkage and actuating lever breaks and has to be replaced or repaired.

the voltage for the pedal sensor voltages should read the following
key on engine not running pedal position fully pressed:
Terminal 106 Accelerator pedal position sensor 1 Approx. 4.2V
Terminal 98 Accelerator pedal position sensor 2 Approx. 2V

with pedal released fully the readings should read:
Terminal 106 Accelerator pedal position sensor 1 Approx. 0.6V
Terminal 98 Accelerator pedal position sensor 2 Approx. 0.3V

I would suggest getting a cat tech out to hook up the laptop as that would make things alot easier.

These codes will not clear out no matter what you do if the condition is still present so disconnecting the battery will not do anything either. And besides even though disconnecting the battery can clear codes it can also set codes because it will loose some calibration settings when the ECM memory clears and that will have to be redone.

did you test the trottle sensor

yes we've done that...I was thinking maybe in the manual there might be a different way or idea.

Pull the battery cable and let it sit overnight. Works on some different applications

the forklift is not accelerating. Computer was checked and it is OK. but since we don't have a scanner to delete the codes we are doing it manualy and trying to possition the throttle. so far...no luck.

what do you want know. what problem are you having.e-23 is throttle position e-27 is cam or crank position

since your going to replace the meter panel i will not have to check, they will give you one that is already up to date.

Problem solved. I got a panel from a sister truck and everything worked fine.now customer is thinking for a new display.

yeah jeremy it could also be a meter panel
cat sent out an update and there was a certain number of meter panels that were mandatory updates depending on the code on the meter panel. If his dealer was on top of it that should have been replaced long ago.

if he can get the numbers off the side of it and post them back here i can check to see if his has been updated or not :o)

Probably meter panel, I have had this problem before. The meter panel will not help the E 21 though

i doubt the nissan wiring would be exactly the same... it may be similar but i would not use a nissan wiring diagram, use a cat one for that truck. sent you some visual aid :o)

DTC code E-21 is Air Flow Meter Signal Fault
Check the wires on the MAF sensor on the air intake, you will probably find one of them is broken internally. If you tug on them and there is a break it should pull apart at the break. You can then solder it back together. Then do the pedal dance to clear the codes and run the truck again.

i don't think that would disable the transmission but take care of the code first.

Yes code E 21 is showing in display and the neutral ligth does not blinks. If you muves fw or rev the ligth is always in neutral.
Do you know if the nissan platinum II wiring correspondes to the cat machine.

look on the hour meter display when you put in direction and try to drive and see if any codes are showing.

does the neutral light blink when trying to select direction?
