I doubt polite had much to do with it. Probably pointed out a few home truths.....
Makes you wonder whether there were significant and positive change's proposed by her which met resistance through no internal desire to change or actually whether she wasn't right for Briggs and was (politely) asked to jog on.
Probably didn't like accepting and imposing alternative hr management practices...
new head of HR has moved on already
Who has gone from the board then? Hopefully new broom(s) will do some sweeping.
Briggs will take anybody on, no skills required. Poor reputation with skilled engineers in the industry. Anyone worth there salt moves on quickly. As for customers, they are Lucky to have any the way they treat them.
all mainland based engineers have been offered the chance to work in Ireland for a short period of time
If things are so bad at Briggs I have two questions. 1 why don't people leave. 2 How do they still keep in business
Is there any truth in the rumour that Briggs can't get any engineers in Northern Ireland to work for them, because the package is poor ?
Shambles, its never been that good. Absolute disgrace.
like the hokey cokey!!!!!in out in out shake the staff all about !!!!shambles of a place
Looks like the new board have come and gone just as quick again too, what do they know we don't? I'm off to google why Cannock is no longer the centre of the universe.....
it seems that Briggs in the UK are Dysfunctional. The only way you get better is by all working as one. Office, Service and sales.
Office staff think they are better than the engineers, poor management from the top down. Sales not selling but having big days out while engineers are flogged for every bit of revenue.
Poor systems lead to inefficiency..
Looking in from outside they seem to be short staffed in most department's.
In my position as an end user I find account managers and regional managers harder to contact than Aliens
I heard a rumour the other day that two trainers left recently as they did not like how training courses were being down graded, anyone know if thats right, seems to stack up with a couple of comments below.
Generally not too badly as long as you tow the line but think engineers do have more responsibilities than with other companies. Also depends on the type of service manager you have either a company man or a level headed ex engineer who understands and supports.
Are engineers looked after then
