Could anyone tell me more on Briggs Defense? They seem to be advertising for an engineer to solely work ok their defence equipment? Is this correct or is it shared amongst all road engineers?
Also do they have any decent resident sites?
About right, I would still have to check them myself before use!!
Watch out skateboard and BMX dealership next on the cards
and powered access division to be launched soon
Possibly just a friendly takeover to help out an old mate and former employee.
Different ball game to lift trucks completely, few synergies, different customers, customer requirements and business model. Briggs could learn a lot if they don't interfere, clone it and cause mayhem.........the take over seems low key , as you say just in the small print and the bottom of the home page...at the moment
United plant services. Deutz engine specialists. Major rebrand at the turn of the year.nothing on there website about this till you scroll down to the bottom of the page and zoom in on the small print.
Who's that they bought? Interesting to see them purchase Hiremech recently, that will be a fair dig in the chops for Impact.
Well it has taken a bit of time (June 2017) but, here we are with the announcement this week from Big Pete: Briggs buyout heavy plant company. What could possibly go wrong?
Irish lifts trucks was an old company that never changed. forklifts was only a small part of a bigger company before Briggs took it over. Different market in Ireland compared to the UK where nearly all of there business is contract hire.
Let's see if it turns out better than Irish lift trucks heard it's not as good as they thought.
Less cash and more turnover im guessing after purchasing Hitec!
Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity but cash is reality
How much do Briggs turnover in the UK would i be wright in saying over £100 million.
If a company is taking that much in Turnover they must be doing something wright
Before the acquisition of Barloworld by Briggs this forum was full of posts by Barlow engineers moaning about their company.
Some things never seem to change !!
the knight jumped to younghenry. been in and out at briggs a few times.couldn't sell sweeties to kids
He may have jumped from one sinking ship to another.
A lot of unhappy chappys at that place too!
I see a regional sales director is the latest to leave and gone to the lift truck company that seems to be forging ahead in terms of growth. Whose next?
Strange, posts are being removed.
