Not happy........... some Blue Midget doing this. Major time spent getting the batteries out.
Thanks for the reply. Did check there first but someone wielded pins though the front. The Blue Midgets got a hold of it first.
Sounds like you overlooked the small bolt that secures the pack. Top center behind the cover.
Don't ya just love those guys that weld everything!
Reminds me of the Blue Midget techs, (my pet name for them) who weld everything back on, and torch them off. EVEN LOAD WHEELS! I think these techs have a limited supply of tools consisting of a screwdriver, hammer , set of torches and an adjustable wrench.
We get night time service calls to fix customer trucks that we have a contract with. You discover the axles are welded to the wheel carriers. Then you discover pivot bushings are falling out, but the "Blue Man" has welded the pivot shafts to the body.
Customer has these guys in cause they work cheaper and fix things during the day, cheaper than we can.
I don't like it, but we have strict laws preventing us from even lighting a butane solder gun, let alone torches. Need a hot work permit and a second person with a fire extinguisher! So much hassle and paperwork that we only light a torch when it's absolutely necessary! Somehow the "Blue Man" appears to be exempt from these laws, torching away at will on any part of the truck, making life miserable for the rest of the techs who follow the law....and common sense
Finally figured it out. Bought this pallet jack used someone drilled holes thought the front and installed metal pins, sanded and wielded sanded and repainted to were I could not see them. ASK ME WHY.... I have no idea. Took batteries off, load tested, one bad battery. Wish I could afford new stuff. I to thought that I was an idiot there for a while.
Hope this never happens to anyone else. Lesson learned.
