Discussion:
alternate oils to Clark 2776326? (for TA16 transaxle)

salvaged a old Clark, actually came out pretty nice- brakes were weak, of course had to pull axles, dump a gallon or two of trans oil to pull hubs... oil was red, expect someone dumped dextron in it. it runs/pulls, but when cold is sluggish going into gear, know it had been that way for years according to guys who had used it.
Brake parts hopefully will be here tomorrow, and hopefully can find a proper oil locally- hoping someones had good results in a off the shelf oil from tractor supply or somewhere similar- do see the TA18 used different oils than other common Clark transaxles.

The trans in those old Clarks were sluggish when first started. Most operators got used to that. You can universal tractor fluid in the transmission and axle if the Clark oil is not available.
