Fraza CEO Roger Runyan |
Materials handling solutions provider Fraza has announced its expansion with an all-new subsidiary: Vitan Equipment.
Fraza is a local, family-owned company that has been servicing metro Detroit since 1938.
The expansion is part of Fraza's geographic growth as the company focuses on incorporating new technologies, including a fleet analyser system that provides real-time data to prevent damage and extend the lifespan of customers' equipment.
Vitan says it will bring a product and service offering to new areas throughout Michigan, where businesses are looking for dependable service and cost-effective materials handling solutions.
Fraza CEO Roger Runyan, who has been with the company for over 20 years, sees the launch of Vitan as an opportunity to interrupt the traditional expectations of the materials handling industry. "Vitan will support customers in their effort to be more efficient, profitable and progressive by incorporating reliable, affordable brands and advanced fleet analysing technology into their business.
"Not only are we expanding geographically, we are continuing to push the boundaries on innovation through Vitan. Our service and products, backed by 80 years of reputable experience, allow us to do that."
Vitan is now operating two full-service locations in Grand Rapids and Detroit.
Fraza's history dates back to Otto Fraza's small garage in Detroit which repaired large trucks and hydraulics in the 1930s. As time went on, the Fraza company started servicing forklifts and later became a dealership. It was later acquired by GB Sales & Service, which began as a small forklift service shop.
Fraza currently employs 200 over a wide area in Michigan.
