Zoe Ferriday and Arthur Hossack from HFT Forklifts celebrate the company's Safety Competition 2014 in Hereford. |
Ten Kindle Fire HDs are up for grabs in a Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) competition sponsored by Rivermore Asset Finance.
The 'Safety Selfie' competition is asking the UK's million men and women working with and alongside forklifts to show off their best practice by taking selfies.
The competition, which will run until 31 December 2014, is open to anyone who works on or around forklifts: operators, managers, supervisors and other on-site workers. It was launched by the FLTA at the National Fork Truck Safety Conference last month.
FLTA CEO Peter Harvey says: "Every year, up to 800 workers are seriously injured or worse in accidents involving forklifts and, that is, frankly, 800 too many.
"The key to reducing this accident toll is encouraging those who work with or near forklifts to think about safety on site and act accordingly.
"So we are asking everyone to put their best sides forward and show off their good practice to their counterparts across the country."
To enter your Safety Selfie, tweet it to @theflta, along with full details, including full name, company name and location. Alternatively, enter by email by sending image and details to:

The winners will be announced in January 2015
