Sevcon has produced over 300,000 controllers from the MOS90 range. |
Sevcon has entered into a global strategic partnership with TVH, enabling both companies to supply each other's parts and products.
Sevcon says the partnership will enable its customers to access equipment parts that would otherwise be obsolete. The parts' availability is expected to "ultimately prolong" the life of existing equipment.
TVH says the partnership is important to ensure its customers have a continued supply of Sevcon products. In addition to sales of new parts, TVH will offer a Sevcon-authorised repair service for the MOS90 product.
TVH's electronics department employs more than 50 electronic technicians who repair forklift electronics and provide technical support. TVH has also recruited an electronics technician who will deal exclusively with programming and repairing Sevcon-supplied MOS90 controllers.
A TVH spokesperson tells
Forkliftaction.com News the MOS90 range is one of the most popular Sevcon controllers ever developed.
"Over the years, Sevcon has produced more than 300,000 of these units. In total, there are several hundred different part numbers for MOS90 controllers used in Upright, Skyjack, JLG, Haulotte, Crown, Komatsu, Atlet and many other [equipment brands]."
TVH's electronics department was established 20 years ago and has experienced growth from eight electronic technicians in 2003 to 50 now.
Every year, the company repairs and tests more than 25,000 electronic parts and delivers about 6,000 shipments daily.
