 The 4200 stand-up counterbalanced forklift |
Raymond Corp has introduced the 4100 and 4200 stand-up counterbalanced forklifts for tough dock applications.
Raymond spokesperson Jeff Leggett says the 4100, with a load capacity of 3,000lbs (1,361kg) to 3,500lbs (1,588kg), was suited for demanding dock applications while the 4200, with capacities ranging from 3,000lbs to 5,000lbs (1,361kg to 2,268kg), has an exclusive four-way switch that enables operators to use hydraulic attachments accurately.
"The three-wheel stand-up design on the 4100 and 4200 trucks [also] provides a smaller turning radius for greater manoeuvrability and easier handling in tight spaces," says Leggett.
The 4100 and 4200 replace the Raymond DSS and Pacer forklifts. The Pacer was introduced in 1973 and reintroduced in 2000 with new models and features. The DSS was introduced in 1995 and reintroduced in 2000.
The main difference between the new and old forklifts is the AC drive motor. The 4100 has AC drive while the 4200 has AC drive and lift.
