Terex adds to new generation
Lentigione, ItalyTerex Port Solutions (TPS) has introduced four more models of its new-generation lift trucks. The Terex Stackace E 5-8, E 6-8, E 6-9 and E 7-9 empty container handlers will replace the Terex FDC 18K5, FDC 18K6 and FDC 25J models.
Like the Terex Liftace 5-31 reach stacker, TPS says the new generation machines combine the strengths of their respective predecessors with many innovations. "They are cost-effective, serviceable and ergonomic. The manoeuvrable vehicles feature a compact construction and a maximum load capacity of 8 or 9 T on spreaders. They offer low fuel consumption and wear, particularly easy access to all maintenance points and a cab with a user-friendly design."
With a wheelbase of 4.0 or 4.5 m (13 or 14.8 ft.), the Stackace empty container handlers achieve stacking heights of between 1-over-4 and 1-over-6 standard empty containers. The maximum lifting speed has also been increased by almost 30% compared to their predecessors.
Bobcat launches compact telehandlers
Waterloo, BelgiumBobcat has launched the compact TL358 and TL358+ telescopic handlers, suitable for the construction and rental markets, and complementing the existing TL360 and TL470 telehandlers.
The new machines are powered by the Deutz TCD 3.6 L4 Stage IIIB diesel engine providing 74.4 kW (100 HP) of power at 2,300 rpm. The maximum lift capacity of the TL358 is 2.6 T, while the TL358+ model has maximum lift capacity of 3.0 T. The maximum lift height of both models is 5.80 m (19 ft.) with 20 in. (51 cm) tyres.
The telehandlers are compact machines thanks to the narrow frame design, with a width of only 2.1 m (6.9 ft.) compared to 2.3 m (7.6 ft.) in the TL360/TL470 models. They have a height of 2.1 m (6.9 ft.), and are also short machines - 4.5 m (14.8 ft.) long with an optimised 2.8 m (9.2 ft.) wheelbase for enhanced stability and a turning radius of 3.77 m (12.4 ft.)
