Logitrans meets demand with rotator
Ribe, Denmark Logitrans A/S has developed a new rotator with adjustable box holders in response to huge customer demand.
The rotator can be adjusted to many different sizes of boxes and crates. The width of the box holders can be adjusted manually with a handle.
"We have developed a unique and flexible solution for companies that handle boxes with widths of 800 to 1,200 mm (31.5 - 47.2 in.). Now this can be done with one rotator," explains sales director GItte Kirkegaard.
The rotator can tilt crates and boxes so the user can reach the contents without stretching and straining the back. The rotator can also turn a box 180º to empty it fully.
Jungeinrich presents new order picker
Hamburg, GermanyJungheinrich will launch the new horizontal order picker, ECE 220/225, at LogiMAT in Stuttgart, Germany next week.
The new generation order picker has a throughput rate that is 10% higher than its predecessor. This is due to a complete re-engineering of the truck's drive and control technology, which the manufacturer says translates into a substantial improvement in acceleration and drive performance.
"Despite the increased throughput, we were able to reduce energy consumption by 5%," says head of product management, Stefan Hirt.
The ECE 220/225 can transport loads of up to 2.5 T.
Genie introduces safety bar
Redmond, WA, United StatesGenie has launched a new safety accessory: the fall arrest bar. It is available for boom lifts and quickly attaches to a 6 ft. or 8 ft. (1.8 m or 2.4 m) platform on all 40 ft. (12 m) Genie telescopic boom lifts and 45 ft. Genie articulating boom lifts and higher (except the S-125HD model).
A smooth, sliding, horizontal track design allows the operator to tie off and move freely outside the platform using a 6 ft. (1.8 m) shock-absorbing lanyard. The enclosed track, made from high-strength steel, protects the trolley from weather and debris.
The bar complies with ANSI A92.5-2006 and CSA B354.4-02 standards for self-propelled booms.
