Hyster Company introduced the W45Z heavy-duty walkie pallet truck at MODEX 2014.
The truck is designed to handle the rigours of the most demanding walkie applications.
According to Hyster, the W45Z truck has features that focus on reducing cost of ownership without sacrificing productivity. By using a heavy-duty fork frame and linkage with HTX bushings, the truck is designed to perform in harsh applications.
"The heavy-duty steel drive frame coupled with a highly engineered drive unit casting make this one of the heaviest drive unit frames in the industry," the manufacturer says. "Hyster stands behind this rugged frame with an industry-leading warranty that includes a lifetime frame warranty, a one-year, unlimited-hour basic warranty and a three-year, 6,000-hour powertrain warranty."

Hyundai launches new forklifts

Hyundai Heavy Industries unveiled seven new forklifts as well as 14 other powered vehicles at CeMAT 2014 last month. The manufacturer claims its diesel-powered 9-series forklifts have generated favourable interest because of their high-tech safety features as well as their ability to meet the needs of different users.
The 9-series is made up of 12 small and medium forklifts with 2.2 to 5.0 T lifting capability. The forklifts are designed to enable operators to safely and easily load and unload goods with a monitor that displays the weight of goods, as well as the angle between the ground surface and the mast in real time.
The vehicles also feature high-visibility LED lamps and rear cameras that are installed to prevent rear-end collisions, and an operator presence sensing system, which automatically activates the brakes when the operator leaves the cabin.
