Plug Power has ordered a further two fuelling stations to supply hydrogen to fleets of forklifts fitted with the company’s fuel cell solution.
Hydrogen Refueling Solutions (HRS), which developed the stations specifically for Plug Power, says it has received a firm order from Plug for a further two refuelling stations to be installed in the United Kingdom.
In February, Plug Power ordered four hydrogen refuelling stations from HRS and signed a letter of intent to order up to an additional 10 stations over the next 12 to 24 months.
At the time Plug had 60,000 units of its hydrogen fuel cells in operation, with more than one billion operating hours.
Plug has now ordered seven stations from HRS. Two are currently being installed in the United Kingdome, two in Spain and one in France.
Hassen Rachedi, HRS founding chairman and chief executive officer, says: “We are thrilled to continue to ramp up our agreement with Plug Power by installing our solutions in several European countries. We share a common vision for the future of sustainable mobility through a strong commitment to reducing companies' carbon footprint.”
HRS, founded in 2004, has the capacity to assemble up to 180 units a year at its new site in Champagnier.
