Pentagon Freight has added four new Hyster forklifts |
Pentagon Freight has taken delivery of four new Hyster forklifts to help bolster operations at its Dartford warehouse hub. The new trucks are all fully customised to meet specific working requirements on site and have been configured to maximise efficiency and operator safety.
As part of the product configurations, various safety and performance features were applied to each of the trucks. These include a full steel operating cab, customised fork heights, lowered overhead guards and non-marking tyres for the indoor trucks.
As a global leader in delivering freight forwarding and logistics services, Pentagon required a new approach to its industrial equipment to help manage workflow and stay on top of demand. The trucks will each perform a specific role within Pentagon's operations, such as working within containers, indoor environments and transporting goods across a busy site. By tailoring each machine's configuration to match up exactly with its working environment, Pentagon will be able to maximise productivity and precision, both of which are crucial within the freight and logistics sectors.
Bruno Ambiel, Briggs Equipment's regional sales executive, says he worked with the Pentagon team to understand their requirements and supply a solution that ticks every box. "This includes the supply of suitable equipment from our hire fleet to cover the short period from initial order to delivery.
"We have worked closely with our manufacturing and technical partners to develop and configure each truck and ensure they fit seamlessly into their operations," he adds.
Keith Sayers, general manager, southern region, Pentagon Freight, found Briggs to be "professional, knowledgeable and fully transparent in supplying a bespoke end-to-end solution for our business needs".
"Briggs have also remained fully engaged with Pentagon in an after-sales capacity, to ensure we have the right support when and where needed," he says.
The value of the fleet upgrade has not been disclosed.
