Liverpool-based John Sutch Cranes has expanded its fleet by taking delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2, five-axle crane with a 60 m main boom, topped by a 10.8 to 19 m double swing-away fly jib that can be hydraulically offset by up to 40 degrees.
Two extra inserts can be added between the boom nose and extension to provide a maximum tip height of 96 m.
The LTM 1110-5.2 is an updated LTM1110-5, which was released in April 2019.
Upgrades to the new model include the new third-generation control system, a ZF TraXon DynamicPerform gearbox and a new driver’s cab.
In the UK, the 110 T crane can carry 29 T of its 45 T of counterweight on board when travelling.
John Sutch, managing director of John Sutch Cranes, says: “We are thrilled to add the Liebherr LTM 1110-5.2 to our fleet, marking a significant step forward in our capabilities”.
“It's already been put to work and is making a big impression,” he adds. “We teamed this unit with our Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 on a job for a repeat client and it has delivered a brilliant result. This crane’s impressive specifications and versatile features make it a valuable addition, reflecting our commitment to staying at the forefront of crane technology.”
In 2023, John Sutch Cranes took delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1, which it says is the largest unit in its fleet and its “biggest investment” to date.
Family-run John Sutch Cranes was founded in 1990 and is based in Liverpool with an additional location in Manchester. The company run a fleet of 35 all-terrain cranes, truck cranes and self-erecting tower cranes.
