Hamburg, GermanyDr Thomas Toepfer has been appointed as the new CFO of Still GmbH. Toepfer has also been appointed to Still's management board and will assume the role of labour relations director. This takes effect on 1 June. He replaces Karl-Heinz Birkner who will return to the KION Group head office and head up the central accounting, internal audit and tax departments. Toepfer was recently employed as CFO of Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH. Before that, he was head of group controlling at both Arcandor AG (2005-2008) and Hapag Lloyd AG (2004 to 2005), after working as a management consultant with McKinsey (1999-2004).
London, United Kingdom British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) has announced the retirement of Frank Hopper as chair of its Statistics Committee which provides BITA members with market intelligence. Hopper has served on the committee for 26 years, of which he spent 16 years as its chair. He will be replaced by David Miller, Toyota Material Handling UK's market intelligence manager.
