Yale Lift Truck Technologies launches Li-ion battery and charger solutionsUS-based forklift manufacturer Yale Lift Truck Technologies has launched its own lithium-ion batteries with compatible chargers which have been designed for selected Yale forklifts, pallet trucks, stackers and other warehouse equipment.
Yale Lift Truck Technologies, a division of Hyster-Yale, says the unified solution of battery, charger, and materials handling equipment is validated as a fully-integrated system, designed to reduce compatibility challenges while providing a high-performance, maintenance-free option which supports peak warehouse efficiency and reliability.
Hyster Lift Truck Technologies says the operator-friendly design makes charging straightforward with easy-access portals while built in interlock sensors prevent driving while plugged in.
It adds the new Li-ion options support quiet and clean warehouse operations.
The manufacturer says Yale lithium-ion batteries are suited to demanding, multi-shift operations, such as those in 3PL party logistics warehouses or distribution centres.
“Today’s warehouse challenges require smart thinking,” says David LeBlanc, president, energy solutions, Yale Lift Truck Technologies.
“With the unified lithium-ion battery and charging solutions installed, we are able to help operations bridge productivity gaps, and with the improvements in system efficiency, reduce the demands put on their facilities and power sources,” he continiues.
