The award recognises those quiet community heroes who are driving meaningful change and giving back to their communities.

The campaign kicks off this month with Bobcat and its dealer Chip Gaines, naming Jason Shields, a US veteran and founder of Hoof Haven Sanctuary, a non-profit which rescues endangered and injured horses, as the May local hero.

Shields was awarded a Bobcat T595 compact track loader in recognition of his work.

The Work Worth Doing initiative will continue through 2025.
