Hyster launches electric counterbalance forklifts

Hyster has launched its J45-70A electric counterbalance forklift in the 4,500 lbs. (2T) to 7,000 lbs. (3.2T) capacity range which can be configured with a range of drive motor and battery options to make it suitable for specific applications.

Hyster says the pneumatic tyre electric A series J45-70A models have been designed for use in intense industrial operations, offering zero exhaust emissions with updated dual-drive electric motors which, the company says, offers the same dependability and reliability expected from internal combustion engines.

An enhanced motor package is available as an optional extra for operations that demand high performance and low energy consumption. The forklifts include IP67-rated fully sealed drive motors and axle as standard.

The J45-70A can be used with a number of battery options including lead-acid, thin plate pure lead or lithium-ion battery power.

The ergonomic, heated and air conditioned operator compartment has a variety of seat options, user-friendly touchscreen, with all-round visibility prioritised through the use of a through-the-mast view and a range of overhead guard configurations.

Hyster’s Dynamic Stability System (DSS) is standard on the J45-70A, designed to reduce the likelihood of tip overs and product damage through five integrated sensors which measure travel speed, lift height, tilt angle, load weight and steer angle.

The base tier of Hyster Tracker telemetry is also a standard feature on the new electric range.
