Yale UK has delivered its 500th forklift, a three-wheel electric ERP20ATF, to a major UK home improvement retailer.
Yale UK has supplied materials handling equipment to Homebase since 1998. The range of equipment includes MR16 reach trucks, MP20L pallet trucks, HP hand pallet trucks, two-tonne internal combustion forklifts and the GLP20SVX Veracitor.
The ERP20ATF was delivered to Homebase's new flagship store in Kingston upon Thames.
Homebase store equipment manager Clive Hillman said the company chose Yale as its sole supplier because it was pleased with Yale's products and the service it offered.
"The products are competitively priced and dependable and Yale offers a complete maintenance package with excellent response times," Hillman said.
Yale UK has tailored its service to suit the needs of its loyal customer. A dedicated call centre to resolve Homebase's issues, a short-term hire fleet and a fleet management program have been established.
Homebase has almost 300 stores in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Its association with Yale started in 1986 when both companies traded under different names. Homebase, then Texas Homecare, had employed Edison Lift Truck Services, a Yale dealership, to service its forklifts.
