Yale launches forklift automation portalYale Lift Truck Technologies has introduced Yale Relay, a drag-and-drop portal that replaces the complex software coding requirements typically associated with forklift automation.
According to the company, going forward, the new overarching platform will apply to all of its automated forklift releases.
“This new solution represents a reboot of automated lift trucks, positioned to more efficiently meet demand for mobile automation by avoiding the labour and capital constraints of today’s market,” says Kyle Smart, sales manager, emerging technology, Yale Lift Truck Technologies.
The drag-and-drop portal is designed to speed up the implementation process. According to Yale, startup can be achieved in one day.
Mapping the facility involves manually operating the lift truck along a desired route and dropping waypoints in the portal, while making changes to a route involves selecting a waypoint and dragging it to a new location.
Including cloud-based access, the portal provides enables management of automated lift trucks across multiple facilities.
It is designed with the ability to integrate with other commonly used warehouse systems like facility fire alarms, interactive input boxes, programmable logic controllers, and warehouse management systems.
