Dematic has launched its connected workforce platformSupply chain automation group Dematic has launched its Connected Workforce Platform (CWP), which consolidates data from warehouse management systems and connects it to the one platform.
The CWP facilitates the management of key metrics including pick rates, operator accuracy, congestion zones and order statuses in real-time dashboards.
It is compatible with a range of hardware including vehicle-mounted, voice headsets, vision glasses and handheld devices and is supported by wireless infrastructure.
Dematic explains the CWP also includes gamification features to drive team engagement and operator performance, in order to help further identify bottlenecks, configure workflows and the response to on-floor issues.
“Rather than adding more layers of technology, the new platform is all about making what you already have work better,” says Lee Koutsos, ANZ Dematic’s director connected workforce solutions.
“Most WMS platforms operate at a high level but lack the flexibility or speed to support day-to-day improvements. CWP bridges that gap by giving teams real-time insight and control without the need for costly customisation.
“Retention is one of the biggest cost pressures in the industry,” Koutsos adds. “With CWP, businesses can onboard faster, manage better, and give their teams tools that genuinely make their work easier.”
