Raymond introduces lithium-ion batteries to product suiteUS-headquartered forklift manufacturer, Raymond Corporation, has released its first lithium-ion batteries to the market.
Raymond says its lithium-ion batteries hold an ingress protection rating of 69 and offer 17% productivity improvement over lead-acid batteries.
The company adds that the more sustainable batteries are powered by lithium-ion phosphate are deployed with a drop-in design for Raymond forklifts.
The batteries are available in 24V, 36V and 48V options.
Jennifer Lupo, vice president of technology solutions with Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), which includes The Raymond Corporation, says the lithium-ion batteries can be integrated with Raymond forklifts and data tracking to “proactively manage energy consumption, help reduce downtime and meet sustainability goals”.
“This launch underscores Raymond’s unmatched understanding of its own trucks, developed through years of testing and continuous learning, which allows us to engineer energy systems around the peak energy requirements demanded by each model,” Lupo continues.
