Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), the integrated entity of the Raymond Corporation and Toyota Material Handling, has named the five senior executives who lead the merged company.

The integration of the two businesses was finalised on April 1, with both brands maintaining “their unique identities, ensuring continuity”, the company states.

Brett Wood will continue to serve as TMHNA’s president and CEO, in addition to his role as senior executive officer with parent company, Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO).

Michael Field, who was president and CEO of The Raymond Corporation, will now be TMHNA’s chief operations officer.

Field has more than 30 years’ experience managing technology companies and in his new role, will be responsible for engineering, aftermarket, energy storage solutions, automation, telematics, IT, strategic alliances, government affairs, and product planning for both the Toyota and Raymond brands.

Sam Coles has been appointed as TMHNA’s chief sales & marketing officer, where he will be responsible for sales, marketing, and pricing for both the Raymond and Toyota brands in North America.

Coles has more than 35 years of experience in the materials handling industry most recently as president of Toyota Material Handling International (TMHI) in Sweden.

Tony Miller, who has been with Toyota since 1996, has been named TMHNA’s chief supply officer, transitioning out of his most recent role as Toyota Material Handling’s senior vice president of Operations, Engineering & Strategic Planning.

Chief administration officer will be Mark Taggart, who was most recently TMHNA’s chief financial officer and the president of Raylease.

“This is a historic day for our company, customers, dealers, and associates,” new CEO Wood says. “This milestone marks a significant step in TMHNA’s long-term strategy to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.

“This integration gives us the opportunity to leverage the best people, processes, and products into one unified organisation for the benefit of our customers.”

TMHNA has a workforce of more than 16,000 and announced last year a USD50 million facility upgrade and equipment upgrades at its plants in Greene, New York, and Muscatine, Iowa.

Toyota has also announced a USD100 million investment to build a new North American headquarters in Columbus Indiana covering a 295,000 sqft. (27,400sqm) site set to open in 2026.
