There are a few exhausted exhibitors (and journalists) on this, the last day of LogiMAT in Stuttgart, which came hot on the heels of Modex in Atlanta.

Forkliftaction CEO Ann Hofmans and editor Barbara Adam are among those at the European event, while Jolie Booth has just returned from the United States.

We’ll report on both events in detail in the coming weeks, but it seems timely to question the conflicting scheduling of the two major materials handling and logistics events – especially since LogiMAT 2025 is planned for the week before ProMAT 2025 takes place in Chicago next March.

Surely, one of these shows will have to yield in the future as it seems onerous in the extreme for manufacturers, industry professionals and delegates to participate in two events within a fortnight when there are 50 other weeks in which one or other could be held.

Who will blink first?
