Germany has a special place in the hearts of most people in materials handling. We are very familiar with their products globally and many of us have spent time at trade shows in the country which, in many ways, is the centre of forklift technology.
It has been distressing to see the devastation caused by the flooding in Germany (and some neighbouring regions) and our thoughts go out to all those affected.
As usual, we see materials handling companies supporting their communities through generous donations and offers of equipment support. This is further evidence that when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Read our exclusive report this week on the impact of the floods on our sector - and spare a thought for colleagues in the thick of it.
