A couple of weeks ago, when we reported on Hurricane Harvey, there was little indication that more trouble was on the way.
While it appears that the materials handling sector has avoided the direct impact of Irma, there's some concern that the future economic effect will be significant.
Houston, which was badly affected, is home to the sixth-largest import terminal in the world and there are warnings that the hurricanes "will impact the US economy far beyond that of the Gulf Coast".
On the positive side, once again, we have seen the industry rally together to help the broader community and there are a number of initiatives to harness the goodwill and focus the relief.
These are trying times for many, but again we see the generosity of the forklift sector in helping to overcome adversity.
