Happy New Year everyone! The team at Forkliftaction.com is excited about 2007 as we have some interesting new developments planned for our web portal and weekly e-newsletter this year.

Thank you to all our loyal members, e-news readers and contributors from across the globe. It's been a delight watching our e-community grow and getting some really positive feedback on the services we provide.

In this special newsletter, we have included a review of the industry for 2006. We hope you enjoy reading it!
Our weekly e-newsletter resumes publication on January 18.

Last year, we gave our popular Discussion Forums a new look and allowed members to add an "avatar" next to their nicknames. As the year progresses, we will add new forum topics to cater to members' specific needs. We are happy to report that the Mechanical Troubleshooting forum is bustling with activity since we introduced it in 2005. In 2006, the Safety, Training and Legislation forum saw lots of activity -and healthy debate. It is heartening to see our members concerned about the safety issues in our industry.

The Forkliftaction.com News team, in compiling the weekly e-newsletter, regularly comes across news items on forklift-related injuries and fatalities. To remind us all that forklift design, technology and innovation can only do so much in creating a safe workplace, we include here part of a Discussion Forum post. Here is what one forum poster said:

Technology that helps force people to be safe is great, but you can't get technology to control every aspect of their job. There's nothing wrong with requiring workers to do their job the way they are instructed to do their job. You will find that you actually have a happier workforce under these conditions.

Thank you InventoryOps for sharing your thoughts with us.

Let us remember our loved ones and put Safety First this year.

The Forkliftaction.com team
