World Fair for Intralogistics from 11 to 15 October 2005 in Hannover, Germany

- Over 900 registered exhibitors from over 30 countries
- Robotic Logistics Center
- Rich supporting program for added value

At the beginning of August, CeMAT topped 900 exhibitors, and is now entering into the final stages of preparation for October. With about 45% of the show's exhibitors coming from abroad, CeMAT is the world's leading marketing and knowledge-sharing platform for intralogistics. The trade fair will be officially opened by the premiere of the German state of Lower Saxony, Mr. Christian Wulff.

The world intralogistics market, which is set to grow further as part of the ongoing globalization process, is superbly represented at CeMAT. The main display categories are:

  • Industrial and forklift trucks and accessories

  • Materials-handling technology and accessories

  • Logistics management, computer systems, ID systems

  • Lifting gear and platforms

  • Shelving and shelving systems

  • Packaging technology

  • Complete systems

Robotic Logistics Center

A true highlight of the show will be the Robotic Logistics Center. Over 30 companies will be exhibiting at CeMAT and showcasing robot solutions, including companies such as Kawasaki, KUKA, OMRON, Roteg, PIAB, Güdel, and Sealpac.
A modular packaging line will demonstrate the seamless integration of robots and other equipment for various packaging tasks as well as sorting, dosing, sealing, and labeling.
More and more companies are investing in industrial robots for order picking to reduce error rates and, consequently, to cut returns and follow-up costs. The ease with which processes can be documented is a further advantage. Automatic order picking ensures deliveries match delivery notes and creates transparency in stock control, thus making stocktaking unnecessary.
Siemens and KUKA will be showcasing a palletizing/depalletizing robot. The associated sensor technology needed for sensing product orientation will also be on display, as will a flexible approach to gripping goods, pallets and loading gear using a series of grippers. Also on show will be tool changers, software for mixed palletization, and appropriate materials-handling technology, which may also need to be backed up by automated warehouses and storage and retrieval equipment.
Güdel of Switzerland will be showcasing a gantry robot that is deployed in cold storage applications in the food industry. The robot is designed for a handling weight of up to 1,000 kg and can palletize with ceilings as low as 2.20 m.
