Coates Hire has boosted its Haulotte fleet
Equipment hire firm Coates Hire has further expanded its fleet with orders worth more than AUD7 million (USD5.1 million).

The relationship between Coates Hire and Haulotte began to expand in 2018 with an order for 400 machines across Coates Hire national locations.

Keith Clarke, Haulotte Australia general manager, notes that the Coates inventory now includes a majority of Haulotte's models.

The latest order includes Optimum 8 scissor lifts, rough-terrain scissor lifts, as well as both telescopic and articulating booms from 16 to 43 metres.

"They have witnessed first-hand the innovations and safety benefits that Haulotte machines have to offer and have now grown their fleet to include over 1,000 Haulotte machines," says Clarke.

"At Coates Hire, the safety of our customers is critical in the decision-making process of our equipment," explains Dan Goodfellow, group manager for products at Coates Hire. "When we look at purchasing equipment, it always comes back to the Coates Hire vision statement, 'to ensure we consider Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Equipment Solutions', and Haulotte equipment ticks these boxes for us on some products."

He cites the large baskets on the latest orders which allow two operators to be on the platform at once, while still maintaining social distancing.
