Bolzoni will distribute Ravas' iForks-32 scale system

Forklift attachment specialist Bolzoni and mobile weighing system supplier Ravas have reached an agreement for the distribution of the iForks-32 scale system through the Bolzoni sales organisation.

"We are now able to offer a complete range of intelligent handling solutions, the new Bolzoni Easy Forks, the vision system with camera and laser technology, and now, thanks to this commercial cooperation, the Ravas iForks-32, a smart mobile weighing system," says Carlo Fallarini, Bolzoni global marketing director.

Fork scales are becoming more important in logistics and forwarding operations, he adds, and the iForks-32 has become a benchmark worldwide, thanks to the clean design, easy installation, Bluetooth 4.0 connection and long-life Li-ion battery pack.

A dedicated Ravas WeightsApp, available in the App Store and Google Play Store, acts as remote display and remote control for the scale, but also enables the operator to download weighing data and send them by e-mail.

"iForks-32 can be easily combined with our fork positioners," Fallarini notes. "Our customers can receive a full package with fork positioner and already-installed weighing forks, including all necessary electronics. We truly believe iForks-32 will become a standard in the mobile weighing applications for forklifts."

Frank van Rijnsoever, sales and marketing director of Ravas, is also enthusiastic about the new alliance: "We see a huge market for our iForks. To us, Bolzoni will be a valuable addition to the existing distribution channels worldwide. We aim to operate more efficiently and to further develop the global market for mobile weighing applications."

A Ravas official points out that the current strategic cooperation agreement only covers the distribution of iForks. "This cooperation does not affect the supply of Ravas technology to other fork manufacturers and forklift OEMs," she tells Forkliftaction News.
