North Orlando Doosan dealer Jamco has painted a forklift pink to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
Rental manager Carol Fontanez says the initiative comes in the wake of several years of community projects.
Jamco chose a 5,000 lb. (2,200 kg) Doosan Pneumatic forklift for the pink makeover and is donating a portion of the rental revenue from the truck to breast cancer research.
"This made perfect sense. Everybody knows someone who has been affected by cancer," Fontanez says. "We decided to benefit breast cancer because this is a very common form of cancer and some of our staff members have been personally impacted by this disease.
"Everyone has gotten behind it: our service manager took over and made sure the Doosan G25P was ready for display at the American Cancer Society's October 29 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk/run in Orlando," she adds.
Fontanez and several of her rental team members participated in the event.
Jamco will donate 15% of rental revenue to the American Cancer Society.
Jamco is a full-service forklift dealer, offering sales, service, parts and rentals across central Florida.
