Forklifts Racking Up Costs

Abuse costs are one of the real grudge purchases in a Budget, not least of all because much of it is totally avoidable, comments John Valentine, Director at Real Telematics.

I’m often on sites where the managers are almost tearing their hair out in frustration with regards to damages in their buildings, racking, product and on the machinery themselves, and then still having to justify the cost in their Budget proposals. Not a pretty position to be in.

Luckily, there is now a solution that talks to the different issues causing these challenges. Real FMX reduces abuse costs on IC machines through Transmission, Engine and Starter motor protection as well as several other features. On Electric machines, abuses particularly on the Battery, are managed and in some cases totally prevented, for example with the unique Battery Cut Out feature that Real FMX offers to prevent full battery drainage.

Then of course there are features such as Impact Detection, Access Control and Driver Behaviour reports to be able to apply accountability to individuals, and so many more features. You choose from a list of features available and that’s what we apply. Later on you can upgrade to newer features and/or versions or even refurbish your Real FMX unit at a fraction of the normal costs.

If that is not enough, we also have a range of Value Add products.  These include Real Las, the hi- lift laser alignment system that is so much cheaper than traditional camera systems that ensures forks engage at the correct level with the pallet. There is also Real Blue, which is an early movement warning system that casts a blue light in front or behind a moving machine. This is very useful in poorly lit or very noisy areas of your operation. Most recently we have introduced Real Guard, which is a user friendly racking protection system. As opposed to more solid barriers, Real Guard actually flexes on impact, thereby reducing damage to racking, the guard itself, as well as the machine, says Valentine.

Frankly there is no viable reason why your costs should keep on getting out of control when you have Real FMX to rely on. It really works. Start saving costs and your sanity now with Real FMX.
