Belgium's TVH Group has continued its acquisition spree, buying the shares of French company GDI Group.

GDI Group is the European leader in the supply of replacement glass and accessories for agricultural tractors and industrial plant cabs.

This acquisition enables TVH to expand and reinforce its activities in the agricultural and industrial vehicle parts markets.

GDI is composed of three companies: GDI SAS, CAB Parts, and Glassinter GmbH. GDI SAS (Glaces Distribution Internationale) was established in 1982 and subsequently acquired the UK-based company CAB Parts Ltd in 2010. In 2015, GDI also incorporated Glassinter GmbH in Germany.

The headquarters and central warehouse are based in Beaufort-en-Vallée, France. CAB Parts has an office and warehouse in Crickhowell, England and Glassinter has a warehouse in Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany.

Over the years, GDI has developed a wide range of products including 8,000 references for windows. The company has over 6,000 customers in 16 countries across Europe and employs 44 people.

The purchase comes hot on the heels of TVH's acquisition of the shares of Industrial Access S.A.

Industrial Access is an access rental company with activities in Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova. This acquisition will further enhance TVH's services and will also result in increased benefits for customers. The completion of the acquisition is still subject to approval from the merger control authorities in Romania.
