New location for Safety Conference
Newbury, United KingdomThe UK Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced a new venue for its annual safety conferences.
Next year's conference will take place on Wednesday, 29th June 2016, at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre, near Coventry.
Association chief executive Peter Harvey explains that the new venue is ideally suited to the conference, "allowing greater ease of access for delegates from across the UK - and further afield".

Heidi Senger-Weiss honoured
Unterföhring, GermanyHeidi Senger-Weiss, member of the supervisory board and partner at Austrian logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss, has become the first woman to be inducted into the Logistics Hall of Fame.
Senger-Weiss received the honour from Dorothee Bär, parliamentary state secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure and Member of the German Parliament.
The Austrian is the 19th member of the international logistics pantheon. She was elected in September by an international expert jury from a total of 31 candidates from seven countries.

New DC for Stellana
Laxå, SwedenStellana, a global manufacturer of moulded polyurethane wheels and rubber wheels and tyres, has opened a new distribution centre near Hamburg, Germany. The 1,000 sqm facility was opened to meet increased worldwide demand.
"This is the next step in the evolution of our business," says Jan Wikström, president of the Hexpol Wheels Group. "It is important to bring our global product portfolio closer to our customers, reducing the total cost of the supply chain and allowing them to better manage their inventories."
