TVH is expanding in the machinery spare parts industry with four new acquisitions.
By the end of October, the TVH Group had completed the acquisitions of Latec Ersatzteil-Vertriebs GmbH (Latec), Tail Lift Parts Europe GmbH (TLPE), L3 Service Pro SASU (L3) and certain activities of IPS France SARL (IPS).
TVH says it expects to further strengthen its current activities in spare parts for the materials handling equipment, aerial lift equipment and agricultural tractors sectors with the acquisitions. With the acquisition of TLPE, TVH is also expanding its offering in spare parts for tail lifts. The value of the acquisitions is undisclosed.
Latec, founded in 1972 and acquired by the Schuch family in 1996, is based in Greven, Germany. Latec has developed a product range for IC and electric forklifts and has expanded its customer base internationally to customers in countries like Poland and Russia. The activities of Latec were integrated within the operations of TVH, starting on 3 November.
IPS, founded in 2006, is based in Abzac (in Bordeaux, France) and is a subsidiary of IAPS Group Ltd, a UK-based group active in the distribution of spare parts for and maintenance of aerial lift equipment. TVH acquired IPS's main activity: the distribution in France of replacement parts and batteries for aerial lift equipment. IPS will continue to distribute aerial lift equipment under a new name. The spare parts activities were also integrated into the operations of TVH France on 3 November. The IAPS Group will continue its activities outside France independently from TVH.
The origins of L3 go back to 1969, but it was officially established in 2007 by the Lecomte family. The company is based in Janzé (Rennes, France), employs 40 people and supplies replacement parts for agricultural tractors. L3 will continue its activities independently of Bepco France and Pividori, which are both also TVH-owned companies. TVH plans to merge L3 with Bepco France and Pividori.
TLPE was founded in 2013 with the aim to become an established player in replacement parts for tail lifts in Europe and other markets. In its short history, TLPE has focused mainly on building its product range (more than 3,000 SKUs), product know-how and sales in Western Europe and Russia and with some partners internationally. The activities of TLPE were integrated within the operations of TVH on 3 November, with the aim to grow these activities using TVH's existing infrastructure.
