Machine attempts Guinness record
Montecchio, ItalyDIECI srl will flag off the participants of the DIECI-MANATECH 2014 tour on Monday, 17 March at 8:30am at its Montecchio facility.
Organised jointly with MANATECH CZ and the Guinness World Records, the tour is the first attempt to beat the distance record of a telescopic lift, unassisted.
The machine that has been selected to achieve this record is an Agri Plus 40.7 EVO2, one of the company's best performing models in the Agri series.
With constant monitoring by record officials, the telehandler must travel 840 km in six days from DIECI headquarters in Montecchio Emilia to the TECHAGRO exhibition in the Czech Republic, crossing Northern Italy, Austria and Germany on the way.
Containers forum at Asian expo
Shanghai, ChinaA 'special containers' forum chaired by the executive manager of the Container Owners Association (COA) will take place at Intermodal Asia 2014.
The forum will cover conference sessions about paint and coatings and tank containers. "The topic of container paints is particularly relevant at the moment and this panel will provide interesting discussions," says COA executive manager Michael Callus.
The first conference session of the forum will look at paints and coatings for shipping containers, with panelists from Hempel, COSO Kansai Paint and Chemicals Co Ltd, KCC Paints and Chugoku Marine Paints Ltd. Intermodal Asia will be held from 1-3 April at the Shanghai World Expo Centre, with the special containers forum held on day two at the Innovation Theatre.
Linde previews latest solutions
Mainz, GermanyLinde Material Handling GmbH will present the World of Material Handling live and interactive event for several weeks with its partners and suppliers at the Mainz Trade Fair Park in May.
The World of Material Handling event will introduce customers and potential buyers to the company's latest solutions as well as trends and visions for internal material flow across more than 20,000 sqm (215,278 sqft.) of exhibition space.
Visitors are invited to test-drive trucks on a special course. The new generation Linde E12 to E20 EVO electric forklift trucks reported in this week's Product News will be on display.
