TMHE truck design honoured
Hannover, GermanyToyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) received the iF international design award for its BT Movit N-series tow tractor in Munich, Germany last week.
The BT Movit N-series truck is suitable to work in a variety of environments, ranging from warehouses to hospitals. "We are honoured that our tow tractor has been chosen for its clean and functional design," says TMHE head of design Magnus Oliveira Andersson.
The International Forum Design Awards (iF) has been supporting the work of talented designers since 1953 by promoting healthy competition and increasing their worldwide visibility. This year, the jury of 49 experts evaluated designs from 55 countries. The MHE BT Movit N-series is one of the winners selected from about 3,249 entries.
IPAF supports Miami awards
Miami, FL, United StatesThe International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) will support the first ALH Conference and Awards held on 11 November at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, Florida, USA.
The North American-focused event will feature a one-day conference followed by an awards evening. It is organised by
Access Lift & Handlers (ALH) magazine. ALH is the official magazine of IPAF in North America. IPAF will provide speakers and input into the conference topics.
The IPAF North American Regional Council will meet on 10 November and IPAF will organise an IPAF members' breakfast meeting at the Biltmore Hotel on the morning of 11 November.
Hyster names award winners
Greenville, NC, United States Hyster Company has announced its 2013 Dealer of Distinction award recipients.
The 13 dealers were chosen because they have met defined business practices and performance standards, including "superior customer satisfaction, dealer performance, general management, truck sales, short-term rental, training, aftermarket sales and parts and service operations".

Wal-Mart orders GenKey package
Latham, NY, New York Retail giant Wal-Mart Stores has ordered a package of GenDrive fuel cell units, GenFuel infrastructure and GenCare service from Plug Power Terms were not disclosed.
Under its new turnkey GenKey program, Plug Power will deploy the 1,738 fuel cell units to six sites over two years in fulfilling its largest order. The GenFuel aspect includes infrastructure and hydrogen fuel supply, and the deal includes a six-year GenCare service contract for each site. Publicly traded Latham-based Plug Power
disclosed the order on 10 February, but could not release the customer's identity at that stage.
