Exports of Flexi articulated trucks grew significantly this year. |
Flexi Narrow Aisle expects to produce 40% more Flexi units at its West Midlands factory this year.
The articulated forklift manufacturer says 2013 is "on course to be a record year for global sales" of its Flexi trucks, which it introduced in the early 1990s.
John Maguire, sales and marketing director, explains: "Because of its design and operator visibility, the Flexi is perfectly suited to working alongside order-picking staff without creating a health and safety issue, which makes it ideally suited for use in the e-fulfillment industry. We have been promoting the Flexi concept at European trade shows for a number of years and our efforts are really paying off now."
The company cites "sustained export success with demand from the automotive manufacturing sector and sales to the rapidly developing e-fulfillment logistics market" for the growth.
Flexi says sales of its articulated forklifts also grew in 2012.
Forkliftaction.com News requested details about Flexi's sales figures for 2011/12, but did not receive a response by press time.
