Swiss-based materials handling solutions provider Interroll Group has formally concluded the acquisition of Interroll India, bringing the formerly independent agent of the group under its ownership as it looks to expand its presence in the subcontinent.

Interroll Group in a statement, said Interroll India has acted as its agent for more than a decade with the acquisition aligning with its “long-term vision to expand its footprint in key emerging markets”.

Interroll Group chief executive officer Ingo Steinkrüger explains: “India is a market with considerable potential for us, and this acquisition will allow us to better serve our customers with improved access to our innovative solutions and products. We look forward to building on the strong foundations that have been established over the past decade.”

Interroll India managing director Aswini Lakhotia adds: “We’re delighted to be more firmly part of the Interroll family now; we look forward to reaching new heights and achieving further success in our shared journey together.”

Interroll Group was founded in Switzerland in 1959 and supplies a range of platform-based products including pallet conveying and storage, conveyors, sorters, rollers and motors.
