MaximEyes forklift backup camera kit reaches the market News Story - 6 Jun 2013 ( #619 ) - Jamaica, NY, United States 1 min read Vision safety specialist Rosco Inc has partnered with Cascade Corp in introducing a backup camera system for use on indoor and outdoor forklifts.The MaximEyes-brand forklift backup camera kit aims to assist "forklift operators backing into tight spots or moving in reverse when visibility is limited", says Peter Plate, Rosco director of sales and marketing. "It also has the capacity for additional mast or side-mounted cameras."The system has a waterproof 7 in. (175 mm) full-colour LCD monitor with mounting plate and camera clamp-bracket specifically for forklifts. The monitor comes with a membrane touchpad for controls and the multi-view monitor can accept up to four camera inputs. The heavy duty, heated backup camera provides 120-degree field of vision and allows up to 30 ft. (9.1 m) of night-time visibility with six infrared LEDs.The camera kit became available on 1 June through Cascade with one heated camera and necessary harnesses. Additional cameras are sold separately.The mounting system allows the monitor and camera to be securely attached to a forklift cage structure without drilling.Rosco is North America's largest bus mirror manufacturer and a vision safety provider of rear view cameras, automotive event recorders, rearview interior/exterior mirrors and sun visors for numerous bus, truck, specialty, recreational and military vehicle markets.
