Guam Crane Services of Yigo has assumed responsibilities as an authorised distributor in the US territory of Guam for the lines of Clark Material Handling Co.

Clark announced the appointment on 24 July.

The dealership represents Clark new equipment and aftermarket parts products and provides complete factory-authorised service.

"Guam is an important territory for our forward-based military assets and the businesses required to support them," says Scott Johnson, vice president of business development with Clark in Lexington, Kentucky. "The addition of Thomas Barnhouse and his organisation empower Clark to service existing users in this territory and to also embark on a strategy to actively and professionally grow the business in this region."

Yigo is the northernmost village of the territory of Guam in the western Pacific Ocean and the location of the US military's Andersen Air Force Base.
