F. Uchiyama & Co has appointed Kiyoshi Uchiyama as chairman of the board of directors.
Kiyoshi Uchiyama exported used forklifts from Japan to United States in the early ‘70s. The focus of his business shifted from the packing materials industry to used machinery after he became president of the company in 1979.
He has also been a director of the Yokohama Trade Association and has contributed to the development of trade in Yokohama.

At the same time, Noboru Uchiyama, the former manager, has been appointed as representative president of directors for F. Uchiyama & Co., Ltd.
He joined the company in 2008 and he was in charge of sales, purchasing, business development and finance as a manager of the company.
He takes over Kiyoshi Uchiyama's position and aims to build a system for sustainable growth of F. Uchiyama as a trading company, rather than just a forklift sales company.

Toyota Material Handling (TMH) recently added Daniel Schumacher to its executive team as the company’s new director of information technology (IT).
Schumacher joins Toyota from Komatsu, where he served as global director of IT applications and digital innovation. Schumacher has more than 20 years of IT experience with previous roles in various technological pathways. He has experience within and outside the materials handling industry, making him an ideal fit for TMH, a leading company in materials handling that has made significant investments in its ongoing digital transformation.
