Logistics UK has announced the appointment of Kate Jennings as its new policy director.
Jennings, whose extensive policy career has included both government and business sector roles, will lead Logistics UK’s team responsible for the organisation’s policy and representation work with both government and members as its executive director.
Most recently employed as the policy director of the Railway Industry Association, Jennings has extensive experience of other transport modes, gained during her time at the Department for Transport, where she has worked in aviation and rail policy, as well as the development of road transport policy relating to exiting the EU.

Carolina Handling has promoted Justin Benson to vice president of its Intralogistics Solutions Group where he will oversee sales of all technologies and equipment for optimising operations within warehouses, distributions centres and manufacturing facilities, including engineering consulting, Raymond automated products and Raymond Corporation's proprietary iWAREHOUSE telematics system.
Benson joined Carolina Handling in 2015 as a business development manager. He was promoted to sales manager in 2017 and director of sales in 2020.
A native of North Carolina, Benson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
