Toyota Material Handling Europe has appointed Jan Lorenz as the new managing director of Toyota Material Handling Deutschland.
Hamburg-born Lorenz, aged 45, with an international career at Jungheinrich on his CV, is now returning to Germany. For several years, he has held senior positions in the US market, where he developed a dealer network and later was in charge of the direct sales organisation before returning to Germany as vice president - regional sales and marketing. In 2014, he moved to Great Britain for his recent position as managing director, where he has led a rapid, profitable growth through creation and implementation of an ambitious strategy.
Lorenz replaces Norman Memminger, who has been appointed senior vice president for Toyota Material Handling Europe's important Rental and Used business.

Linde Material Handling has appointed Christian Harm to the management board of Linde Material Handling for a period of four years with effect from January 1, 2019. As member of the management board, he will be responsible for finance, which has recently been managed by the chairman of the management board, Andreas Krinninger.
Harm will also be responsible for the production sites in Aschaffenburg and Weilbach.
He has been the KION Group's executive vice president - corporate strategy since 2012 and has had a considerable influence on the company's strategy. Prior to this, he managed the purchasing department for Linde AG's materials handling business from 2003 and was appointed vice president purchasing of the KION Group in 2006. Between 1999 and 2003, he worked at the management consultancy McKinsey, and from 1992 to 1998 held a variety of administrative positions at Unilever.
Harm studied economics at Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of St. Gallen.

DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Charles Kaufmann as CEO, DGF North Asia South Pacific.
Kaufmann brings more than 40 years of logistics experience to the new regional cluster, most recently serving as the leader of DHL Global Forwarding's operations in North Asia and Japan as well as head of value-added services in the Asia Pacific region.
Since joining Deutsche Post DHL in 1973, Kaufmann's expertise has steadily broadened from air and ocean freight into fields like customs brokerage, integrated warehousing, and international supply chain solutions. As CEO of DHL Global Forwarding North Asia, he led the enhancement of innovative products in the division's core businesses of air and ocean freight, as well as the development of new multimodal services by sea and rail from Korea and Japan via China to Europe.

Reid Lifting has appointed David Underhill as business development manager.
Underhill, who stepped into the newly created role earlier this year, brings a wealth of experience to the position, having worked in external sales for nearly a decade. His previous role was with Holmbury, a major manufacturer of hydraulic quick-release couplings and valves. There, Underhill was responsible for driving growth in the UK, Scandinavia, Japan, Korea and South East Asia.
