Aki Nishimura as president on January 1 and will add CEO to his title. Chairman and CEO
Brian Stewart is stepping down after 34 years of dedicated service on April 24 to focus on other endeavours, including completing his book that provides advice to young people entering the business world.
In his new role, Nishimura will focus on expanding North American sales, increasing profitability and promoting the importance of workplace safety. He is a graduate of Hiroshima Institute of Technology, in Saeki, Hiroshima, Japan. He has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and over 25 years of experience in the materials handling industry and has worked with Daifuku since 1987. The positions he has held within the organisation include president of Daifuku America Corporation, a subsidiary of Daifuku North America Holding Company.

Sid Wiesner as vice president of engineering. Wiesner will be responsible for overseeing the strategic areas of technology, hardware and software engineering, and quality assurance for the company. He served as Seegrid's director of development from 2003-2007, followed by a one-year sabbatical to help a non-profit NGO in Kenya. He previously held the position of chief technology officer of Wellbridge Health, a healthcare IT company dedicated to improving care for people with chronic diseases. Prior to Wellbridge Health, he served as vice president of product development for Touchtown, a company that produces hardware and software with a focus on life-safety and wellness communication with senior living communities.
