Cargotec has appointed Mikael Laine as senior vice president - strategy, effective from 7 April. He will be a member of the executive board and will report to CEO Mika Vehviläinen. Laine was president and CEO of industrial and wind gear manufacturer Moventas Group. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, business development and corporate functions at Moventas. He has also led strategic and financial operations in several positions with Sonera Corporation, and he has held senior executive positions in IT and telecom companies.

Schulte will be responsible for all corporate governance and compliance functions, for providing legal review to support company developments, and for supervising outside counsel and corporate risk management. He has over 20 years of experience. He was previously manager of distribution development at GVW Group, senior attorney at Navistar and general counsel at Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks of America.
